Youth Gathering of Native Americans/Alaska Natives (GONA)

This August 9, 10, and 11, you’re invited to join us for Youth Gathering of Native Americans/Alaska Natives (GONA)!

At GONA 2022, you’ll learn about Indigenous land stewardship with special guest mentors, enjoy games and activities (with prizes!), and connect with fellow Native youth. Meals are provided.

To be eligible, you must self-identify as American Indian and/or Alaska Native and be between the ages of 14 and 19 years old.

Youth GONA is hosted by Seattle Indian Health Board and facilitated by Native Wellness Institute in partnership with The Yarrow Project, Urban Native Education Alliance, and The Suquamish Tribe.

Location, Times, and Transportation

Youth GONA 2022 will take place August 9, 10, and 11 at Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort, 15347 Suquamish Way NE, Suquamish, WA 98392.

Each day, we will travel to and from Suquamish together from Colman Dock at the Seattle Ferry Terminal at Pier 52 (801 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98104).

On August 9 and 10, we’ll meet at the dock at 10:00 a.m. to catch the 10:40 a.m. ferry to Bainbridge with a return trip around 6:00 p.m. On August 11, we’ll meet at 1:30 p.m. for the 2:05 p.m. ferry with a return trip on the 8:20 p.m. ferry. Parents are invited to the last day for dinner.
