SpiritWalk 2012 proudly joins
Seattle Center's 50th Anniversary Event The Next Fifty
A six-month celebration commemorating the impact, the memories, and the legacy of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. SpiritWalk is scheduled for July 2012, the month focusing on Global Health. Next Fifty programming will include conferences, competitions, exhibits, and of course, SpiritWalk, designed to raise awareness and inspire involvement in global health issues among the general public at Seattle Center and throughout Washington State.
SpiritWalk 2012 will be an exciting time to spotlight American Indian and Alaska Native health promotion at this monumental event. You won't want to miss it!
Join us for a day of fun and community building for the whole family! The day begins at 8:30 am with registration of walkers and walk teams, followed by a brief group stretching activity lead by a guest celebrity. After participants complete the walk, Native entertainers, performers and guest speakers are showcased at the Mural Ampitheater, and lunch is complimentary to all registered walkers. An awards ceremony completes the afternoon where walkers are awarded prizes in the following categories:
